| πΉ What is a Pronoun? |
A pronoun is a word that takes the place of a noun.
- π Examples: he, she, it, they, we, you, I, him, her, them
| πΉ What is an Antecedent? |
The noun that the pronoun replaces or refers to is called its antecedent.
π Example:
- πΈ Sara loves music. She π΅ practices every day.
- Here, Sara = antecedent, She = pronoun.

Singular antecedent β Singular pronoun
Plural antecedent β Plural pronoun
Example:

β Gender Agreement
Masculine antecedent β he/him
Feminine antecedent β she/her
Neutral antecedent β it
Example:

β Clarity
Make sure itβs clear which noun the pronoun refers to.
Example:
- β When Tom met Alex, he smiled. (Who smiled? π€)
