Common pronouns: I, me, we, us, he, him, she, her, they, them

A compound subject has two or more subjects joined together by and or or.

  • Use subject pronouns: I, we, he, she, they

Examples:

  • She and my sister are best friends. 💖
  • He or I will answer the question. ❓

Tip: The pronoun in a compound subject should always be in the subject form.

Choose the correct pronoun:

  • Raju and (I/me) are going to the library.

Fill in the blank:

  • The teacher called Sara and (he/him) for the answer.

Correct the sentence:

  • Me and Ria are best friends.

✅ Answers: 1 → I, 2 → him, 3 → Ria and I are best friends.

A trick to check: Remove the other noun and see if the pronoun works alone.
